Thoughtful packaging design improves customer experience
The team at Antalis' Smart Packaging Centre (SPC) has designed an ergonomic packaging solution for the delivery of vital medical equipment to patients who have simply returned home following a life-irresolute spinal injury or diagnosis.
The groundwork
The bespoke design was created for one of the Great britain's home commitment companies for medical supplies. The company had been using standard, off-the-shelf packaging to package the equipment and accompanying instructions, yet, information technology proved difficult for their customers to open without help and provided poor presentation. They were groovy to find a more suitable solution that would provide their clients with equally positive experience as possible when receiving the equipment.
Following a consultation with the SPC squad to hash out how they might be able to meliorate their clients' experience of the dwelling delivery service, priority was given to finding a solution that would be easy to admission and open.
The Solution
The SPC'due south packaging technologists devised a box design that, equally well every bit being easy to open, would as well nowadays the contents in a more professional manner. Packaging technologist manager, Jason Poxon, explains how the project really challenged the team to remember differently most packaging and how it is used past the cease-user, "The packaging needed to work not only as a ways of transporting goods from one point to another, it had to role on a much higher level as well, working for the end-user on both a concrete and emotional level by helping them to retain a degree of independence at an incredibly hard time in their lives.
